Account types and costs
Exness offers four account types: Standard, Pro, Zero, and Raw Spread. Standard starts with spreads from 0.2 pips and no commission. Pro tightens this to 0.1 pips with no commission. Zero and Raw Spread both start from 0.0 pips, but Zero carries a commission of about USD 0.05 per side per lot, while Raw Spread charges up to USD 3.50 per side per lot. Minimum deposits differ sharply: Standard requires 10 USD, while Pro, Zero, and Raw Spread require between 200 and 3,000 USD.
Spreads are floating, not fixed. For XAUUSD there is no published fixed figure — the spread moves with the market and is shown live in Market Watch. One recorded reading on Standard puts XAU/USD at 0.26 USD, or 26 USD per lot, on a specific date, but this is a snapshot, not a promise.
Leverage and margin rules
Exness advertises leverage up to 1:Unlimited, but this is conditional. Once the account balance exceeds USD 1,000 or its equivalent, unlimited leverage is no longer available. Around major news releases, the cap for new positions drops to 1:200, and for indices to 1:50. Indices are also fixed at 1:400 for US30, US500, and USTEC, and 1:200 for the rest.
Margin call levels differ by account type: Standard triggers at 60%, while Pro, Zero, and Raw Spread trigger at 30%. Stop out is 0% across the board, and hedged margin is 0%. Negative balance protection is available. These numbers matter when a position moves against you — a Standard account will warn you earlier than the other three.
Platforms and order execution
Trading is available on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, Exness Terminal in the browser, and the Exness Trade app for Android and iOS. Order execution depends on the account: Standard, Zero, and Raw Spread use market execution, while Pro uses instant execution, except for crypto, which is market execution.
Lot limits run from a minimum of 0.01 lots to a maximum of 200 lots during 07:00–20:59 GMT+0, and 60 lots from 21:00–06:59 GMT+0. There is no limit on open positions.
Funding from Pakistan
Deposits and withdrawals for Pakistan-based traders typically rely on bank transfer and mobile wallets such as Easypaisa and JazzCash, along with e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller. Some residents route funds through USDT P2P. Most deposits process instantly. Base-currency broker accounts are usually denominated in USD rather than PKR, so a PKR-USD conversion cost applies. USD/PKR spot pairs are seldom tradable.
Withdrawals carry no broker fee, and third-party fees are covered by Exness. On the regulatory side, retail forex and CFD trading is not criminalised in Pakistan, but there is no local licensing: SECP does not issue retail forex/CFD broker licences, and SBP does not allow margin-based currency trading inside Pakistan. Residents trade via offshore brokers regulated abroad, and this is legal only where funded through legitimate banking channels. Using Hawala or Hundi, or platforms that bypass the banking system, is illegal. SECP reiterated crackdowns on unlicensed currency and commodity-futures operators in 2025.
Whatever you decide here, the account you open should suit your residence and the way you plan to fund it.
Trading conditionsIslamic accounts and other features
Swap-free accounts are available on all account types. For many traders in Pakistan, where the market is Muslim-majority, this is effectively a default requirement rather than an optional extra. Exness, like several other brokers serving the country, promotes swap-free accounts as standard.
The broker lists asset classes including forex, commodities, stocks, indices, and crypto, with more than 250 instruments. Support runs 24/7 in English, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Swahili, and 24/5 in 16 languages. There are no bonuses and no contests; a loyalty program and free VPS are available. Analysis tools include an economic calendar, Trading Central, and FXStreet in the terminal. Public tick history is available for all instruments, which is useful for checking how gold has moved at specific hours — for example, the sharpest minute for XAUUSD was recorded at 12:00 UTC at 60.91 USD, while the calmest was 20:00 UTC at 3.29 USD. For anyone watching the gold rate in Pakistan today, those volatility numbers explain why the price can jump between Karachi market hours and London or New York sessions.
Questions about Exness accounts in Pakistan
Is Exness regulated by SECP or SBP?
No. SECP does not issue local retail forex or CFD broker licences, and SBP does not permit margin-based currency trading inside Pakistan. Exness operates through offshore entities regulated in jurisdictions such as Seychelles, Curacao, BVI, Mauritius, Kenya, Jordan, South Africa, Cyprus, and the UK. Trading through offshore brokers is legal only when funded through legitimate banking channels.
Which account type is cheapest for gold trading?
Standard has no commission and starts from 0.2 pips, with a minimum deposit of 10 USD. Zero and Raw Spread start from 0.0 pips but charge commission — about USD 0.05 per side per lot on Zero, and up to USD 3.50 per side per lot on Raw Spread. The cheapest choice depends on your trade size and how often you trade.
Does Exness offer swap-free accounts?
Yes. Swap-free accounts are available on all account types. For traders who need to avoid overnight riba, this is a standard feature rather than a separate account category.
What is the maximum leverage I can use?
Exness advertises 1:Unlimited, but it is not available once the account balance exceeds USD 1,000 or equivalent. Around major news releases, new positions are capped at 1:200, and indices at 1:50. Indices are fixed at 1:400 for US30, US500, and USTEC, and 1:200 for the rest.
Can I deposit in PKR?
Most broker accounts are denominated in USD, not PKR. Deposits through local rails such as bank transfer, Easypaisa, or JazzCash involve a PKR-USD conversion cost. USD/PKR is rarely offered as a tradable pair.
